A Waste of Time
Why is David Bossie pushing a silly resolution aimed at Congress? You know why...
Maryland Republican National Committeeman David Bossie is going to be sponsoring a resolution this week regarding two Republican members of Congress at this week’s RNC Winter Meeting.
My only question is: Why?
What business is it of the Republican National Committee to govern who is and who is not a member of the Congressional Republican Conference?
Why is a member of Congress from Illinois and a member of Congress from Wyoming of any concern to the National Committeeman from Maryland?
How does any of this help the Maryland Republican Party elect candidates in the 2022 election?
How does any of this help the Republican National Committee elect candidates in the 2022 election or prepare for the 2024 Presidential election?
The answer, of course, is absolutely nothing. But that’s now why Bossie is doing it.
Let’s take you back to something I wrote when Bossie screwed up on television during the Republican National Convention:
Bossie is already too preoccupied with his duties being President Trump’s gopher to satisfactorily serve as the Maryland Republican Party National Committeeman. This would be a good time for him to resign as National Committeeman so Maryland Republicans can be represented by somebody who won’t embarrass themselves and the state like this.
That, over two years later, Bossie is still screwing about being the haindmaid of Donald Trump instead of doing anything constructive for the Maryland Republican Party speaks volumes. It’s even more embarrassing considering Trump kicked Bossie to the curb once already.
For the last six years, Maryland has been stuck with a National Committeeman and a National Committeewoman whose interests are divergent from actually winning elections and trying to grow conservatism in Maryland. Bossie just happens to be the one most visible at the task since he is Trump’s gopher to the GOP.
Let’s hope one day that Bossie wakes up and remembers what his job as a National Committeeman is so that he can put his considerable skills to good use to serve the movement instead of a man.
