I have never run for office, but I am the current serving Register of Wills for Baltimore County because I was appointed to service the balance of the prior Register's term when she retired.

Why are you running for office? *
I have spent my entire career preparing to serve the people of Baltimore County as Register of Wills. I was an estates and trusts attorney at Ober Kaler for 10 years. Then, I worked as an Assistant Attorney General representing the Registers of Wills and Orphans' Courts across the State of Maryland. Then, I worked at Brown Advisory, an investment firm. I know this field from inside out and from every vantage. I have the experience and the fresh thinking to modernize the office and continue the great service the community expects.
Who do you consider your political role model, and why? *
I am still looking for a political role model.
What is your favorite book about politics and policy, and why? *
None
What will be your top priority in office? *
Work to further modernize the office and serve the people of Baltimore County. I will work to secure additional resources for pro bono legal services to assist in estate planning and probate matters.
What is the biggest issue facing your area? *
In my office: lack of a modernized court filing and docketing system in estate cases and insufficient pro bono legal resources.
What are the three biggest issues facing Maryland? *
Disparities in educational opportunities, lack of drug rehab, access to health care.
What is your position on life issues? (abortion, assisted suicide) *
Pro choice, no position on assisted suicide.
What is your position on taxes and spending? *
My office collects inheritance taxes. I will follow the law and collect taxes according to the law. Tax dollars should be spent without waste and for programs that work. Government must be accountable.
What is your position on gun rights? *
I am not antigun.
What is your position on the legalization of marijuana? *
Marijuana is already medicinally legal.
