Why are you running for office? *
My desire is to represent the voice of the People. To serve and speak up and speak out to move the PEOPLE agenda forward.
Who do you consider your political role model, and why? *
My grandmother “Mable Luckett”
What is your favorite book about politics and policy, and why? *
For me it would be a political business book on who moved my cheese. The fact that Change Happen. We have to anticipate it, when it happen we need to prepare, monitor it, adapt so we can change and enjoy it. Just like with policy and politics. Especially with so many leaders with their own agenda and not the PEOPLE’s Agenda.
What will be your top priority in office? *
My top priority is address the PEOPLE Agenda starting with Livability and Public works. Public Safety Education Opportunity (small business) Public Works Livability (wages and housing) Economic Development (healthy)
What is the biggest issue facing your area? *
Food desert and livability
What are the three biggest issues facing Maryland? *
Livability, Healthy living and local business that generate generational wealth.
What is your position on life issues? (abortion, assisted suicide) *
I believe people should have the freedom of choice if they are mentally stable. Their lives and their decision.
What is your position on taxes and spending? *
The residence and people have spoken openly repeatedly that we are over taxed. We have to find ways to ease residence burdens and cut the fat on spending.
What is your position on gun rights? *
Neutral- I believe responsible residence deserve the right to bear arms with limits. Not all guns should be in people hands.
What is your position on the legalization of marijuana? *
Neutral- I don’t drink or smoke but I don’t judge those who do. If we really want an equitable society then we must have equality across the board. Everyone deserve to live, work and play in their communities. For year a certain class has been arrested for what others were able to do. I am neutral for recreational marijuana to be legal with limits.
What is your position on the current three-tiered system for the sale and distribution of alcohol? *
Neutral- the system seems to exist and is working to keep necessary checks and balances in place.
What is your position on land use, growth, and development? *
Healthy Economic growth is needed certain area but we must be careful not to overcrowd and have green spaces
What is your position on crime and public safety? *
All stakeholders must work together to bring down crime and for safer communities. We must get back to JAG teams and have needed resources in every community so they can equally flourish.
What is your position on county tax caps? *
For - the residence has spoken several times they do not want a tax increase but to pay less taxes.
