Why are you running for office? *
I want to build a stronger Republican party. The GOP is losing their voice in MD. We need strong candidates and a robust party apparatus to compete. Right now, the Democrats are attempting to gerrymander the GOP out of any political power. It is time to change how the GOP competes in elections.
Who do you consider your political role model, and why? *
Ronald Reagan. I came of age during the Reagan years. My political beliefs were formed during his administration. As President, Reagan was able to use conservative principles and a Peace Through Strength philosophy to strengthen America's influence around the world.
What is your favorite book about politics and policy, and why? *
Any book by Micael Levin. He has a way of capturing the issue of the day and presenting those issues in a way that tackles problems from a conservative perspective. He gets t the root cause of the problem and peels back the rhetoric.
What do you see as the role of the Central Committee? *
I believe my role is to provide community outreach. We need to build the party one voter at a time precinct by precinct. I believe my role is to help find and recruit solid Republican candidates for every office. We have to focus our Central Committee on rallying all GOP voters regardless of who wins their primary and support all of our candidates. With the right candidates and community outreach, I believe we can build a stronger GOP in MD.
What are the three biggest issues facing your county party? *
The GOP has a strong presence in the County. I believe the county party needs to work closer with surrounding Counties. We also need to focus on the tougher districts in the delegate races. Right now, District 34A is represented by two Democrats. We need strong candidates that can win in a district the is more centrist. We need to raise funds and reduce overhead in order to provide more candidate funding.
What are the three biggest issues facing your state party? *
The biggest issue is we do not compete in every district. There are races we don't field candidates. This allows the Democrats to stretch their majorities. We need strong candidates and community outreach. Another issue is the gerrymandering the Democrat Majority is attempting in redistricting. We need to fight the gerrymandering and ensure the GOP has a voice in the state. We don't want to be a one party State like California has become.
What is your position on life issues? (abortion, assisted suicide) *
I am generally conservative on life issues. We need to ensure Parents have a say in what their children are being taught in schools. I am pro life, pro second amendment, and against the social engineering occurring in our schools.
What is your position on taxes, spending, and the federal deficit? *
We tax and spend too much. Lowering taxes spurs greater economic growth. Our deficit is out of control. We owe over $30 trillion dollars. We see the effect of our high taxes and spending with inflation approaching 10%. Government needs to get back to the basics and stop its ever expanding takeover of our lives.
What is your position on gun rights? *
I am pro second amendment. Our guns rights are the most regulated of all rights. We need to tackle the cause of violence and not attack gun rights.
Do you believe that Maryland primary elections should be open to independent voters? *

Do you believe that the state party and the county parties should be allowed to endorse in primary elections? *

Yes
