Why are you running for office?*
District 40 in Baltimore City is plague with crime, piss poor education & an opioid epidemic. It's ground zero for the spread of crime in the state & has been under democratic rule for over 50 years with no progress. Conservative policies & values are what's needed for a change in the city. It's past due time for republican represention in the city, we must solve the issues in the city if we want to fix the state. I've long said that these problems would spread to the counties if left unchecked in the city. I'm running for office for personal responsibility to clean up the problems in district 40 & to give the district the conservative representation it desperately needs.
Who do you consider your political role model, and why?*
Lt. Governor Winsome Sears, she's an republican icon & trailblazer that has won elections in democratic strongholds. Her advice to me was to go to places that democrats don't expect you to go & to not be afraid to do it. Her rise to office mirrors our efforts in Baltimore City & her path is the blueprint for effective unban conservatism.
What is your favorite book about politics and policy, and why?*
Black Out by Candace Owens. This book dares to tell the true about the democratic party's brainwashing of the African American community for votes & why we need a change.
What will be your top priority in office?*
My top issue will be to work on the inheritance tax. This tax drives our seniors out of the city & with the population of the city decreasing, our seniors need a break in this tax to stay in Baltimore city.
What is the biggest issue facing your area?*
The opioid crisis is the worst in the "nation" in district 40. It's the biggest issue the district faces.
What are the three biggest issues facing Maryland?*
We need to find out what to do with the COVID relief money on hold for this state( before it magically disappears). The other issues are inheritance tax & inflation.
What is your position on life issues? (abortion, assisted suicide)*
I'm the pro life candidate and have received Maryland Right to Life's endorsement.
What is your position on taxes and spending?*
I support lower taxes, free market capitalism, deregulation of corporations & restrictions on labor unions.
What is your position on gun rights?*
Our 2nd Amendment rights need to be taken very seriously in these troubling times.
What is your position on the legalization of marijuana?*
I'm for legalization of medical marijuana use, not recreational use.
What is your position on the current three-tiered system for the sale and distribution of alcohol?*
No system is perfect & the 3 tier system is no exception. It needs reforming but is a good start to regulate the taxes on alcohol distribution. Large brewers work around the 3 tier system though, this places smaller brewers at a competitive disadvantage. Additionally, without the monitoring components found in the 3 tier system, not all alcohol was taxed, resulting in loss revenue for the state.
What is your position on land use, growth, and development?*
Environmental causes have advanced the most on on private lands, I consider the security of private property to be essential to the environment. Conservation is a conservative value as long as it's properly balanced with economics. Any policy that supports conservation should equally address economic growth & development. I also support access to public lands for hunting, fishing & recreational shooting.
What is your position on crime and public safety?*
With 300 plus murders in the city a year I support mandatory prison sentences for gang crimes, violent & sex offenses against children, repeat drug offenses, rape, theft & murder. With that said, I believe in the Prison Reform Justice act introduced by Senator Tim Scott & I support President Trump's First Step act.
What is your position on county tax caps?*
High property tax force residents to leave the state, I support legislation in the Assembly for property tax caps. Getting a tax cap enacted in Maryland must be a top priority. High property taxes not only hurt homeowners but discourages job growth also.
For candidates for the General Assembly: Legislators can receive $101 per day for lodging and $47 per day for meals during the 90-day General Assembly session. If elected, do you plan to accept these benefits? Why or why not?
No, I want to be transparent & without signs of corruption. I'll pay my own way.
Was Joe Biden legitimately elected President of the United States in the November 2020 Election?*
No
Do you pledge to accept the results of your election?*
No
