Why are you running for office?*

I am running for Central Committee At-Large and County Council At-Large - Why for Council - KIDS-FIRST EDUCATION ROAD AND HIGHWAY FUNDING LAW & ORDER LOWER TAXES HELP BUSINESSES SUCCEED; Central Committee for Good Governance, Traditional Values, National Security and Tax Reform

Who do you consider your political role model, and why?*

Paul Weyrich, Grover Norquist, Morton Blackwell, Barry Goldwater, President Ronald Reagan and President George W. Bush. They were all conservative visionaries who looked forward pose to looking back. I look forward, I don’t waste time talking about the glory days of the past, I look forward at the better days ahead. They all had an optimistic world view, I am an eternal optimist. The proof is I worked on the 1990 Shepherd & shepherd race for Governor.

What is your favorite book about politics and policy, and why?*

The Conscience of a Conservative by Barry Goldwater - outlines the Conservative movement first read in High School

What do you see as the role of the Central Committee?*

Electing Republicans, covering polls primary and Election day and Early voting centers; and Recruiting good candidates

What are the three biggest issues facing your county party?*

elected republican central committee members donating to Democrats; lack of focus on the job of the Central Committee; too much focus on public safety

What are the three biggest issues facing your state party?*

State party is run very well no real problems.

What is your position on life issues? (abortion, assisted suicide)*

Pro-Life

What is your position on taxes, spending, and the federal deficit?*

I believe we need to cut taxes, grow the base not the tax

I am 100% pro-second amendment

Dwight, I read the Justice & Advocacy survey that you answered and couldn't agree with you more. It's great to see someone running for office that promotes accountability and supports law enforcement. I will spread the good word and surely vote for you in the upcoming election.
