Why are you running for office? *

It's time to bring back the voice of the people and it starts at the local level. I will be a true representation for the people of the county. I am also doing this for my stepchildren and son to show them that when you truly believe in something, you go for it.

Who do you consider your political role model, and why? *

Ronald Reagan because of his optimism and hope for our country. He also forced the states and cities to assume more responsibility. Lastly, because he united the Republican Party with a new vision for the GOP.

What is your favorite book about politics and policy, and why? *

The Right Side of History: How Reason and Moral Purpose Made the West Great because I love the message that we must not lose sight of our moral purpose to always try to do better and we have a duty to work together for the greater good.

What will be your top priority in office? *

Transparency and having the community be an active part of my administration.

What is the biggest issue facing your area? *

Civic engagement. We need our policy makers to listen to all citizens in Wicomico County not just a select few.

What are the three biggest issues facing Maryland? *

Public Education, Police Reform, New Leadership

What is your position on life issues? (abortion, assisted suicide) *

Pro-Life.

What is your position on taxes and spending? *

I plan not to increase property taxes. We do not want to fund the government simply off the backs of the homeowners in Wicomico. I plan to make spending more efficient and effective in Wicomico. I will be pro smart growth, pro business, and a small business County Executive. When our small businesses grow and thrive, it brings in more revenue to the county which helps fund our schools and county services without having to increase taxes on the hard working people Wicomico County.

What is your position on gun rights? *

2A is definitely an important issue, especially here on the shore. Gun rights are the rights of the people. I am a constitutionalist and the constitution was put into place not to protect the government from the people but to protect the people from the government. It keeps the government from infringing upon our freedoms.

What is your position on the legalization of marijuana? *

I don't support the legalization of any drug for recreational use.

What is your position on the current three-tiered system for the sale and distribution of alcohol? *

I do not support it. It is a dictation of the free market economy and only raises the prices of goods. It is big government and regulation.

What is your position on land use, growth, and development? *

Here is Wicomico County, growing our county is important, however its how we grow the county. I am for smart growth, not just for growing for the sake of it. Other areas have done that in the state and that leads to over dense areas which leads to traffic congestion and overcrowding of our schools. What I promise is that I will not be a rubber stamp for the builders and developers, When builders and developers propose to want to build and grow our county, I will ask questions and take comments/concerns from the community.

What is your position on crime and public safety? *

My message on public safety is simple....two words.... Law & Order. Law and order is protecting the rights of the innocent and making the criminals be held accountable for their actions so the jail is not a revolving door. I will be an county executive that not only funds the police, but will defend them as well. Our LEOs keep our personal property and investments safe, successful businesses operating, our students learning in schools, and our roads safe. We have good police here that work hard for us and we need to retain them and hold them on a pedestal for the often thankless job they perform at all hours of the day, behind the scenes, and in the shadows where we do not want to go.

What is your position on county tax caps? *

We are not for raising taxes. I know that there are pros and cons for tax caps. Here in Wicomico, I would like to have an unanimous vote from my county council for a tax cap.
