Why are you running for office? *
IUS that had the greatest government in the world has been disintegrated over the past centuries by people driven to corrupt Federal Government. The candidates who became a puppet of a big donors and are willing to buy there way into a position that allows them to actually benefit the voters, their chance of working for their voters is almost impossible. The reason I am running for Congress is that I am not skilled politician, and working my way up through the system, or have any track record but we must change how the candidates are elected to meet the constituents needs. I would like to set an example to bring to the congress political stability and financial transparency of the kind that the US promised in the 20th century. In order for candidates to do that we must have term limits, Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on American people.Staffers of Congress family members should not be exempt to pay student loans.Earn the public trust by my own example.
Who do you consider your political role model, and why? *
St. Teresa Calcutta. She dedicated her life to serve the poorest of the poor with little regard for own self.
What is your favorite book about politics and policy, and why? *
I do not have any favorite book about politics and policy, but I do love three movies: 1- Don Bosco 2 - Bakita and 3 - is about Mother Teresa. The reason I watch this movies over and over because, I relate to them in many ways, and it's exactly what we need right now in our country.
What will be your top priority if elected? *
1- End Homelessness, by closing loopholes in housing market, 2-Presenting a new program in Mental -illness by categorising the level of illness, analyzing ,implementing, and finally working directly with patients in daily bases, and transition them to a new direction which would contribute to a lowering the violence.3 - Audit --- I will create a Audit to examine and verify accounts and records, especially financial account. It is very easy to make intentionally or unintentionally mistake which it will cost fortune to the tax payers.
What are the three biggest issues facing your district? *
Mental - Illness, Homelessness, Financial shrink.
What are the three biggest issues facing our country? *
Trust, Corruption, and Security Threat.
What is your position on life issues? (abortion, assisted suicide) *
I was born and raised in the Country were abortion, and assisted suicide was life sentence. But moving to the US as a Free Country I believe ,the right to die should be a matter of choice instead of legislation. We can't choose numerous aspects of life without government interference, but the right to die is not generally one of them. As of abortion I believe in the choice since I can't contribute directly to raise their child, and many of as can't. Whether it is due to societal pressure, or a religious view, those with a terminal illness loose the ability to stop their own suffering. People should have the choice to pick, what will happen to them. Some people want to live long , but if a severe medical condition makes their life painful and they should make their choice.
What is your position on taxes, spending, and the federal deficit? *
A flat tax is where everyone is taxed at the same percentage rate --say 3% of every dollar earned. This gets rid of many of the current loopholes. This would be for personal as well as Corporate earnings.I am very pleased with the decision that G20 made on Global Corporate minimum Tax which aims to discourage multinationals from profiting in countries where they pay little or no taxes on trademarks, and intellectual property. These companies can then assign earnings to a subsidiary in a tax haven country. This agreement will make our international tax arrangements fairer and work better in a digitalized and globalized economy. As a Congresswomen I will work with the Comptroller’s office to make sure that Maryland’s tax practices are transparent and seen as fair for both individuals and businesses, and are competitive so as to grow the state’s economy and jobs. I will work with lawmakers and stakeholders for maintaining appropriate tax practices and policies that serve the needs of our state and its citizens. I will be an independent Audit for the effectiveness of tax incentive programs. I will , also bring parties together to explore options for reforming the state’s income tax to ensure we use their taxes that support families, seniors, and small businesses. Tax payers are in title to know where their tax money is spent and have their input to where it should be invested.
What is your position on gun rights? *
I was born in the Country where we have only 10 Police and zero in entire State and as corruption took over Albanian we have every corner Police and guns.I believe in Constitution of United State, and I respect, and follow that. Congress should Amend the Constitution with the support of evidence.Criminals are armed with the most sophisticated gun. We, the innocent people are victims.Congress must act soon, ether allow every one to cary gun or amend the Constitution. We must act now and clear the confusion. We don't have middle road.We are running out of time.
What is your position on the legalization of marijuana? *
Marijuana use can harm learning, thinking and memory development, also using it could affect mental health issues, including psychosis, as well as other physical health problems.Using at young age as a teenager can cause, emotion-related processing, learning, and memory formation. I am against using sleeping pills or any mood, or mind-altering substance to a young person, because starting using at the young age it is the greater, emotion-related processing, learning, and memory formation. Now to answer the question, what is my position on the legalization of marijuana? Yes I would vote to legalize marijuana because it's not any deferent from the alcohol, which does impairs the peoples minds of thinking, or acting. We have multiple deaths from accidents due to alcohol use.Yes, I am in favor of legalization of marijuana, because 1- People are using anyway. 2- By legalizing we make safe to use it. 3- We will create more jobs which is the way to lower violence. 4- By regulating the sale of marijuana we will receive taxes from the proceedings , and we can use to treat those they are addicted.....etc.
What is your position on trade? *
Free trading has prose and cons. I believe in Free trading, with checks and balance. Free trade, it is good. It allows workers to specialize in goods and services that they produce more efficiently than the other Countries, and then we can exchange them for goods and services that other countries produce at higher quality and lower cost.Specialization and free trade makes the U.S. more competitive and innovative.Innovation creates new technologies that allow business to produce more, cure more diseases, pollute less, improve education, and allow businesses to choose range of investment opportunities. The resulting economic growth generates better-paying jobs, higher standards of living, and a greater appreciation of the benefits of living in a peaceful society.
What is your position on foreign policy and military issues? *
When problems arise, in any form, it’s always someone’s fault; as a catastrophe, a disaster or an American failure. Fingers are pointed that this is the President’s and his administration’s fault because of the inadequately planned, managed ,mishandled and departure of our forces. President Biden shift’s the blame to former President Trump. President Biden was fully in charge of any executive order to departure our forces. I do believe that mistakes were made. Before making such a huge decision to leave Afghanistan after 20 years the US intelligence should have anticipated Taliban’s strength and speed to take over. The US intelligence should have known that the collapse of the Afghan government and the failure of Afghan security forces did not even try to resist to the Taliban’s taking over across the country and into Kabul.within blinked of an eye .Yet US should never support the President of the Afghanistan fling filled up his car with money and abounded his people. US intelligence should participate in the motivation of Afghan forces and compare them with the Taliban. How many troops does the Taliban command? How well are they trained? What is the status of arms and ammunition on Taliban’s and Afghan’s side? Who controls what territory? How many Afghans are in the security forces and what is their motivation? Are Afghan security forces patriots for their country? Do they believe in change, are they motivated to fight? do they believe in their Government or Commander in Chief. If these questions would have been analyzed before the collapse we would have less chaos and caught off guard. The biggest mistake that the US made was: Such a promise to evacuate a number of Afghan intelligence who supported the US during these 20 years …easily triggered the downward spiral of morale and confidence of Afghanistan intelligence which got us to the place we are in right now. My life in anticipating on Military Kosovo War and Albania Civil War has taught me that when problems arise, it’s always someone’s fault; the role of chance, good faith miscalculation, or unanticipated consequences is brushed away or rarely acknowledged. One thing that I do not question is that U.S. troops, diplomats and other partners who served and sacrificed in Afghanistan over the last 20 years did so in accordance to a noble cause: making us safer here at home and open the Hwy for the Muslim Community to see clear for what they should stand for if they want too.
