I wish to help the Republican Party continue to grow in Baltimore County.
Who do you consider your political role model, and why? *
Ronald Reagan-After a successful acting career, he switched gears and became a great success as governor of California and president of the United States.
What is your favorite book about politics and policy, and why? *
Rise and Fall of the Third Reich-proof that dictatorship and fascism are not the solutions to our societal and economic problems.
What do you see as the role of the Central Committee? *
To promote the growth of the party.
What are the three biggest issues facing your county party? *
1. gerrymandering, 2. politcizing of education, 3. unacceptable levels of taxation.
What are the three biggest issues facing your state party? *
1. gerrymandering, 2 vetoproof Democratic majorities in the legislature, 3. unacceptable levels of taxation.
What is your position on life issues? (abortion, assisted suicide) *
These are individual decisions that should not be subject to mandates.
What is your position on taxes, spending, and the federal deficit? *
The federal deficit is a long term problem that will make our children's and grandchildren's lives much more difficult than our own. One cannot continually spend more than one takes in and expect the country to prosper.
What is your position on gun rights? *
I believe in the Second Amendment but also that legislation in this area can be different in urban and suburban settings than in rural ones.
