Why are you running for office?*
To continue to work with people in my District, Faithbase, Organizations Leaders on lowering the violence, betterment of our children's education and helping my community draft Bills and pass Laws that we know are common sense and solution driven in order to get on top of three main issues plaguingmy District of 40 th MN. To continue to use my influe6nce to be that Voice of reason to get the necessary work done. Also, to have the abilibty to hold our local Leaders Accountable.
Who do you consider your political role model, and why?*
My political role model was Former President Donald Trump and Former President Ronald Reagan. Both loved America, they put the American People first. They believed in us the Americam People. They believed in deregulation not big government. They believed that parents had rights and choice concerning their children's education. They believed that no child should be left behind. They understood the importance of fiscal responsibility and accountability. They believed in the Free Enterprise of Entrepreneurship and funded it - understanding that 47 percent of job creation is through small business owners.
What is your favorite book about politics and policy, and why?*
The Story of American Freedom by Eric Foner. I loved the author's narrative that not only showed how freedom was shaped in America through congress and debates, and through political treatises but also on plantations, picket lines, barber shops, parlors , bedrooms and churches. The People shaped America and what freedom would look like, not just the politicians
What will be your top priority in office?*
To pass laws that will empower Law Enforcement to get some control over violent crime. This would include improving Mental Health programs making and requiring them to be much more structured. Shaping Youths through Certification and after-school Programs. Passing a reduction In gas taxes to ease some of the financial burdens at the pump.
What is the biggest issue facing your area?*
Crime, failing schools and closings, lack of career and job opportunities as well as affordable and livable housing and food Deserts.
What are the three biggest issues facing Maryland?*
Crime and consequences with Rehabilitation. Inflation and high taxes. Lack of Special Education as well as Chartered Schools. A lack of skilled certification programs in public schools for career opportunities.
What is your position on life issues? (abortion, assisted suicide)*
I am Pro Life I believe that Life is a Gift from God and starts at conception. I also understand trauma of rape and some health issue that can cause a women to risk their life in order to carry a child to full term. I do not believe rhat taxpayers should have to pay for abortion on demand. I believe that after 12 weeks the Unborn feels pain it has been scientific proven. We must began to work with parents so they can educate their children on the importance of marriage and planning for parenthood. We must teach young people the importance of waiting to become sexually active and how they must stay focused on their education and their talents. Building for a good future self growth.
What is your position on taxes and spending?*
We must make sure that every level of government is being Fiscally Responsible. We must look at forensic auditing in order for us to hold government leaders in every agency including education Responsible on how their budgets are spent and the transparency of those taxpayers dollars.
What is your position on gun rights?*
I believe in the 2nd Amendment, but with those rights comes responsibility and people must be educated on safety and the use of firearms. There should be a thorough background check as well as a age set of 25 years old before a person can apply for a permit and or license for a weapon, adults must be more responsible and mature.
What is your position on the legalization of marijuana?*
I believe with all the various chemicals that are being mixed and used to grow and cultivate this plant, puts youths and people with Mental disabilities at risk for addiction, change of behavior and other major problems. I still believe it should be under a doctor's prescription. For medical purpose.
What is your position on the current three-tiered system for the sale and distribution of alcohol?*
I am not one to really look at alcohol sales. I do know that there are too many liquor licenses given out in our community of District 40. I also know there are regular sales taxes as well as the famous sin tax. Let's discuss how we can lower the number of liquor licenses in the 40th District.
What is your position on land use, growth, and development?*
I believe there should be at least three public hearings prior to government, agencies or developers decision on the use of land and the impact on the community. Also, the community should have a say about what is needed in their communities when it comes to projects and/or use of land. It should be mainly based on the embetterment of overall better life and the people of that community.
What is your position on crime and public safety?*
There must be consequences as well as rehabilitation when it comes to criminals. We must make sure we are using every tool even technology in order to get a grip on the out of control crime wave that Maryland has been experiencing and spreading over from Cities into Counties over the past 8 years. There must be a police bill of rights and incentives for recruitment and to uplift morel.
What is your position on county tax caps?*
There are several tax brackets and areas of taxation in Maryland. From property, income, payroll amd sales. We must visit each category and brackets in order to make proposals that will benefit Maryland taxpayers, small businesses as well as Corporations. We must adjust for this historically high inflation, gas and look at how it has affected peoples pay and cost of necessary products on the market.
For candidates for the General Assembly: Legislators can receive $101 per day for lodging and $47 per day for meals during the 90-day General Assembly session. If elected, do you plan to accept these benefits? Why or why not?
Yes I will accept because of the cost of things due to inflation the cause of supply demand but lack of manufacturing and delivering to the market place has put all of us in a need position or financial crunch.

No
Do you pledge to accept the results of your election?*
Yes
