Dan Cox is already setting himself and his supporters up to blame non-existent election fraud as his reason for losing the upcoming Maryland Gubernatorial Primary.
In a recent email sent to supporters, Cox was promoting the widely discredited film 2000 Mules, the fever dream of election fraud enthusiast Dinesh D’Souza.
In addition to spreading lies about the election, Cox also claims to be “leading the polls” and “crushing it all over the state” despite the fact the only poll so far publicly discussed in the campaign is a discredited Democratic push poll from January.
And yet it’s not even half as telling as Cox’s statement on Facebook this morning.
The juxtaposition of questioning the integrity of elections, which Cox has done here in Maryland last year by spreading a different bogus theory, while also encouraging people to “FLOOD THE POLLS” as he mentioned three times is priceless.
It says something that Cox is openly encouraging independents and Democrats to interfere in the Republican Primary by becoming Republicans just for the sake of carrying the sorry carcass of the Cox campaign across the finish line. It tells us that Cox knows that if he doesn’t increase the universe of Republican voters who might be willing to vote for him that he has already lost. This comment makes it clear that he realizes that he is losing and is losing bad and is trying to save any sort of face with his dwindling band of supporters that either a. reinforcements or coming or b. I couldn’t have possibly lost legitimately so it must be fraud.
At this point, you just have to pity Dan Cox. He has found himself in an untenable position of getting himself into an unwinnable election. But Dan Cox has decided instead of acting like a man, he will act like a beta male and blame everybody but himself, everything but his feckless, and every idea other possible cause other than his peddling of debunked, crackpot theories.
As one might say…
