Cox Stabs Schifanelli in the Back

Dan Cox has stabbed his own running mate in the back to support a different candidate for Maryland Republican Party Chair. Guess he's the establishment now...

There is a schism between Dan Cox and his running mate, Gordana Schifanelli

Schifanelli of course is running for Maryland Republican Party Chairman, trying to lead a ragtag group of losers to the promised land. Cox was last seen conceding the election.

But there is a divide between the two members of the ticket. Cox will not only not support Schifanelli the same way Schifanelli supported him, but Cox is actively making phone calls for MDGOP Chair candidate Nicole Beus Harris.

Signs pointed to a split coming for a few days.

First, on Saturday Cox’s son and security goon JsqueeZzy shared a post about Harris’s campaign for Party Chair.

This morning we had the usual band of misfits talking to each other about what was on WCBM, which amazingly took the time to stop talking about national issues to talk to somebody locally, and this happened.

Finally, this afternoon, Cox himself wandered onto Twitter Social to make a convoluted point about his concession but also to take a pot shot at his running mate.

It makes it seem as if Cox thinks that Schifanelli conceded the election too early, despite the fact that it was painfully obvious to everyone that they had already lost. He also seems to be open to the idea that he lost due to fraud, which of course is laughable.

Cox also sent a statement to friends on Facebook confirming that he will not support Schifanelli:

"Hello friends. This is Dan Cox. I wanted to let you know that sadly I do not support Gordana Schifanelli for GOP chair. I am glad to hear that my friend and loyal prolife champion Nicole Bues Harris is running. God bless and onward for unity in principles and integrity."

There were rumors for months about Cox and Schifanelli not seeing eye to eye on the campaign trail. There appears that there was smoke with that fire, as it seems the two are at loggerheads now as Schifanelli seeks to strike out on her own away from Cox.

This would all be a pointless discussion if it weren’t for the fact that the Chairmanship of the Maryland Republican Party was at stake. Otherwise, a rift because a failed candidate and disgraced soon-to-be ex-Delegate and his never will be running mate would be meaningless. But with Schifanelli involved in a race for state party chair with two other candidates, it will make for an interesting vote come December 10th.

What we do know is this; is that after all the loyalty that Cox voters and Gordana Schifanelli showed Dan cox for over a year, the fact that he so cavalierly betrayed them just like that amuses the hell out of me.
