Cox's Hypocrisy on Connected DMV
If Cox wants to condemn Kelly Schulz, why won't he condemn Glenn Youngkin?
I do believe that Dan Cox is tone deaf. Or perhaps he is purposely propagandizing.
In the past one week, I have heard him continue to make false statements regarding the Connected DMV. I have spoken to his false statements before in The Duckpin.
So, let me take a different approach.
Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin made this speech to the DMV Regional Congress meeting. “The aspiration behind Connected DMV is a meritorious one. I am incredibly impressed by what you all are doing and the leadership that you are providing as you come together to recognize that regionalism is real.” https://www.connecteddmv.org/post/gov-youngkin-together-the-greater-dmv-area-can-compete-in-an-extraordinarily-effective-way
“A big thank you to Governor Glenn Youngkin for joining today's DMV Regional Congress session to talk about the path ahead to grow Virginia's economy, opportunities for our region's workforce, and regional collaboration to ensure the #DMV is the best place to live & work and in the country. “ -- connectedDMV
I can only conclude that Dan Cox:
does not want to increase job growth in Maryland.
does not want to see economic growth in Maryland.
does not have a pandemic preparation plan (without a pandemic plan, the US will again be the example NOT to follow).
does not want biotech to predetermine the possible mAB’s that will be effective against the next pandemic pathogen, leaving us with hospitalizations and death – all because we missed the opportunity again to have mAB’s ready to deploy from the start of a new pandemic. (Dan has no clue as to the research involved in getting ahead of pandemic therapeutics. He apparently just wants us to “try therapeutics” that simply do not work.)
does not want to get the best minds in the DMV area to further this region in jobs, health, education, etc.
does not want to collaborate and coordinate with government, science, private business.
does not want to collaborate with our regional neighbors.
does not want a good working relationship with Governor Youngkin. (I thought Dan Cox was best buds with Governor Youngkin.)
does not want to support our healthcare systems during the next pandemic with therapeutics that will keep patients out of the hospitals.
So, to use Dan Cox’s technique:
I call on Dan Cox to immediately denounce Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin’s support for the Connected DMV as the connecteddmv is merely a way to get ahead of the next pandemic with therapeutic mAB’s that will save much in death and disease.
Dan, stop the nonsense. There is NOTHING in the ConnectedDMV that would indicate they would lockdown churches and business, to force medical mandates, or control and surveil the people. On the contrary, Dan, this pandemic center would have the mAB’s ready to go to treat patients. Dan is spreading pure propaganda with NO evidence.
Folks, stop buying into his conspiracy theories and his propaganda. Cooperation of scientists, higher education, government and private enterprises in our DMV area brings the best of the best to this area. We will have a stronger Maryland because of this collaboration – and no, Dan, this is not CCP – so stop showing photos of China when speaking about connecteddmv.
I’ll take Kelly Schulz’s vision for Maryland anytime, any day over Cox’s inane conspiracy theories and propaganda.
Maryland will be better with Kelly Schulz.
