Cox's Security Cosplay

Just when you thought Dan Cox's gubernatorial campaign couldn't get any more ridiculous, it does

If you thought Dan Cox’s campaign for Governor couldn’t get any more ridiculous, tonight in Baltimore it did.

Multiple sources shared photographs with The Duckpin that Cox was accompanied by “security” at the Baltimore City Republican Party Lincoln Day Dinner.

As far as my sources know, this is the first time that Cox has had a “security” detail accompany him to an event. I will leave it to the reader to deduce why Cox felt it necessary to bring “security” to an event in Baltimore City.

The “security” person, who apparently was never that far away from Cox for the entire evening, also had an clear headset in his ear.

This is only amusing because you can buy the same headset on Amazon for $16.99.

It is unclear if the “security”, who looks like he is a reject from a “Sprockets” skit on SNL, will continue to accompany Cox in places that aren’t Baltimore City.

While this newfound attention to “security” is amusing, it does little more than to show how ridiculous the Cox campaign is. That the campaign takes itself this seriously and that Cox and his “security” were too oblivious to notice that those in attendance were mocking them says everything you need to know about the fly-by-night operation that the Cox campaign truly is.

One thing that remains obvious is that Dan Cox remains an unserious person running an unserious campaign.
