Dan Cox and Church Militant: The Gift that Keeps On Giving

Group sent out fundraising solicitation for Cox after the candidate spoke at their conference

Yesterday we discussed Dan Cox’s participation at the Call to Action Conference, held by Church Militant last weekend. But did Dan Cox’s campaign possibly gain fundraising dollars by participating in the conference? 

An email went out to Church Militant’s list from Michael Voris, president of St. Michael’s Media, which produces content at ChurchMilitant.com. 

I think it is fair to ask the campaign some questions.  Many of them will be answered when the next campaign finance reports are due on August 30th.

1. How much has churchmillitant.com given in donations to the campaign thus far? 

2. How much was given to the campaign by participants in this past weekend’s conference?

3. Will Dan Cox identify the campaign donations from anyone associated with Church Militant, moving forward? 

4. Dan Cox “risked a lot”?  Can Dan Cox explain what that statement implies?

5. What influence does this organization have on Dan Cox’s campaign decisions and his rhetoric?

6. How would these donations impact Dan Cox as Governor of Maryland, should he win the November election?

Church Militant is not exactly a mainstream religious group.  It has, in fact, been labeled as a fringe, right-wing group more focused on supporting extremists than participating in the Church at large.

I think it fair that we have open and transparent information on the influence of this organization on Dan Cox’s campaign, don’t you?
