Outbreaks are inevitable, and pandemics would just follow and we will do nothing but let them spread, taking lives and health -– is what Dan Cox would give us.
Does Dan Cox continue to obfuscate? To lie? He knows better. Or he should know better.
Dan continues to lie about the Global Pandemic Prevention and Biodefense Center in Rockville Maryland that our Commerce Secretary Kelly Schulz (Dan’s opponent) can take credit for. Dan is led by conspiracy theory. It is obvious that he has NOT read the Strategic Plan for The Center. He refuses to learn about mAB’s and pandemics.
He keeps with his same old talking points: “(Kelly) launched a pandemic tracking center called the Global Pandemic prevention Center in Rockville. Which has as part of its mission the opportunity with MyIRmobile.com to have a QR Code vaccine passport. That’s on her watch. I will ban it on Day 1. There is no place for this in America. And anyone who believes otherwise has violated their oath of office. “ (My notes from his speech at his “rally”.)
He is lying or he is willfully ignorant. In either case, he is harming Marylanders.
There is NO mention of using a QR code on The Center’s website.
There is NO mention of a “tracking center” on The Center’s website.
There is NO mention of a vaccine passport on The Center’s website.

Dan, please show me where in this Mission Statement is the MyIRmobile tracking? Or Dan, admit it is NOT there.

Sars-CoV-2 has claimed more than 4 million lives and is projected to cost global economies more than $28T.
Over the next six years, this ambitious program will develop and stockpile mAB’s for the 100 pathogens across 15-25 pathogen families most likely to results in pandemic potential outbreaks.
The Development of mAB’s also enables the development of diagnostics and vaccines based on the same protein antigens.
We can prepare prototype DTV’s (Diagnostics, Therapeutics, Vaccines) to treat pathogens of greatest pandemic potential and progress them to a stage that can be adapted quickly to respond to a specific pathogen threat. . .”
The benefits of mAB’s can be realized across all phases within the disease continuum:
Prevention (before exposure)
Post-exposure prophylaxis (after exposure or injection but before the onset of disease)
Therapy of mild disease to prevent hospitalization
Therapy of moderate disease to prevent admission to the ICU
Therapy of severe disease to prevent death.
mAB’s provide “instant immunity” from infection and can be readily deployed to protect frontline healthcare workers and other post- exposure individuals from infection. Given their inherent safety and efficacy, rapid deployment of mAB medicines during an outbreak will reinforce civilian trust in governments and can preclude civil unrest, travel bans, and trade restrictions, among other harmful societal outcomes. This will help buy the precious time needed to establish diagnostic testing in the field, conduct contact tracing for containment, product vaccines, and carry out mass vaccination campaigns.
DAN COX, what could be better? The versatility of mAB’s in light of an emerging pandemic is truly an amazing medical scientific innovation (YES, done by big bad pharma and biotech, and BTW we’ve been using mAB’s for years in oncology, rheumatology, and a host of other diseases.)
What we did not have in the beginning of Covid were therapeutics, mAB’s, and vaccines. Would it be wonderful to have no lockdowns? No social distancing? No masking unless one wants to? This is precisely what we can achieve by supporting The Center -- KELLY SCHULZ’ initiative!!!!

Once again, Dan cannot prove his statements. Dan, tell us what evidence you have of your statement. If you cannot prove it, then apologize to all Marylanders for this lie.
Enough is enough Dan, it is time to sit down and be quiet when you are so far out of your league. Let our experts do what they do best. And stop hassling big pharma, The Global Pandemic Prevention Center, and everyone (including Kelly Schulz) for having the foresight (which you do NOT have) in putting together this proactive pandemic defense program.
Dan, do NOT forget that Governor Youngkin of Virginia has praised this endeavor. Who is looking like the fool now?
I want a governor who puts us first, along with our health, lives and wellbeing. I want a governor who wants to avoid the human cost of lives and costing our economy trillions.
Dan Cox , as a governor, simply cannot perform the function of keeping us safe, along with saving our economy. Vote for Kelly Schulz, because she has proven herself capable of understanding what her role is as Governor of Maryland, should another epidemic/pandemic come. Kelly Schulz is already on top of this!
And P.S. Dan, I’d like to think that perhaps I had an impact on you finally admitting that The Center will in fact make and stockpile mAB’s and that that is okay. Now admit you were wrong on your entire talking point above.
