Japanese Team Enters United Wiffle Tournament
Saitama's Wiffle Tigers enter tourney, turn tournament into World Championship
United Wiffleball announced today that their previously scheduled National Championship will be a true World Championship.

We are going international in 2022! For the first time ever, the October season-ender will be a WORLD Championship!
Later this morning we will have our first 2022 team announcement for the squad that is the impetus for this exciting new era!

The Wiffle Tigers of the Saitama Premier League Wiffle are the first team from outside the United States to travel to York, Pennsylvania for the tournament.

Team Announcement:
The Saitama-based Wiffle Tigers are set to make their US debut this October in York! With 3 of their core players and some help from (at least) one experienced U.S. player, the Tigers have the talent to make a run and are sure to be the talk of the tournament!



United Wiffle’s Tim and Paul Cooke discussed the Tigers entry this morning.
Saitama is a city of over 1.3 million residents in the Greater Tokyo Area.
The United Wiffle World Championship will be held October 14-16 at PeoplesBank Park in York. Eligible teams can still register at unitedwiffle.com.
