Juggernauts Roll Through Another MAW Tournament
Juggs win their fourth title MAW tournament of the year
Mid-Atlantic Wiffle returned to Showell Park in Berlin, MD on Saturday. And once again, the Juggernauts lived up to their name.
The Juggs defeated ERL in the final of MAW’s 2022 Wiffs and Waves tournament, overcoming a loss in their first game to run the table thereafter, defeating ERL in the finals.

The Juggshad to survive a 1-0, extra-inning affair against POC in the semis to make it that far. POC had defeated the Juggernauts 7-0 in the first game of the day.

Old Line Wiffle Club had another rough day, going 0-4 on the day. Team Captain (and Duckpin publisher) Brian Griffiths did have a big game against Head on a Swivel to start the day, going 6-for-7 with 2 home runs while hitting for the cycle. Additionally, Rob Cataldi had a home run and a triple in a losing effort to the WILL Wagons.
The Juggernauts, the defending MAW and national champions, retain possession of the coveted MAW championship belt and are set to defend their title in the MAW Championship Round on September 17th. Four other teams have already punched their ticket to the playoffs. The final team will be determined in the MAW Wild Card Tournament to be held in York, PA on September 3rd.
