Losing Losers Still Losing
You can take the Trump out of the White House, but you can't take the Boat Parade out of the Trumpkin
I often note that we live in ridiculous times. And I’m right.
You may remember that I have often been critical of the ever-present boat parades that we saw during the Trump years. Bands of Trump fans who want to be involved with politics but without the hassle of hard work get together to drive their boats around and annoy people. Boat parades, along with their cousin the car parade is one of the many reasons Trump is no longer President.
Anyhoo, this weekend in Tampa there’s going to be an entire convention of them all coming together for…..Trumparilla.
It’s almost amazing to think that somebody thinks this is a good idea, but it’s apparently happening anyway. This seems, as much as anything, a reaction against the cancellation of Tampa’s famous Gasparilla event due to the pandemic as it is anything else.
It was a natural fit! One day 'Patriot Entrepreneur' Cliff Gephart called 'Professional Provacateur' Dion Cini and said - "they cancelled the 105th Annual Gasparilla" which they both replied at same time - "let's replace it with Trumparilla" and BOOM, it was born.
Cliff and Dion were heavily involved with Boaters for Trump events, but they seemed to be missing a piece at each event. So they added a 3 day MAGA FEST to celebrate America First, on land, sea and air. Be on the lookout for a Trumparilla coming to your region soon, as Tampa Bay is the first, but hardly the last. #SaveAmerica #AmericaFirst #Trumparilla
The secondary reason of course seems to be to make money since the only sponsors of this event seem to be businesses owned by the aforementioned founders of this effort.
Speaking of making money, can it be a Trump-themed grift if Roger Stone isn’t there to cash in?
Stone is actually headlining a $125 a plate dinner so rubes…..er, attendees, can rub elbows with the disgraced raconteur.
I’m not entirely sure why anybody would want to attend this. The event seems more designed to separate well-meaning Trump fans from their money than it is any worthwhile effort to support any sort of political ends that Trump may have in the future. But it must be successful since the organizers are taking their show on the road to San Diego later this summer too.
When will anybody learn?
