Today, the Maryland Republican Party Twitter and Facebook pages highlighted a bill introduced earlier this year by Delegate Kathy Szeliga.

Maryland Republicans are working hard to protect women’s sports. HB359 is a common-sense bill that would create a new mixed-gender team for all sports in Maryland public schools, ensuring everyone can compete while saving boys’ & girls’ sports for biological males & females.

It was a good, common-sense bill. Emphasis on WAS a good bill. Because the bill died in committee a month ago.

The time for the Maryland Republican Party to highlight this bill and urge Democrats to support it, as they did in the Facebook post, was over a month ago. Not a month after the bill was defeated and Republicans and Democrats are virtually powerless to resurrect it.

Maybe Adam Wood doesn’t know how this works. Maybe Adam Wood is a little slow on the uptake. Maybe he doesn’t know how to track bills. Either way, Wood’s continued galactic incompetence shows that he isn’t ready for primetime and is just another display of how Harris botched this hiring in the first place and needs to be replaced as Maryland Republican Chairman if the party has any hope of saving itself.
