Robin Ficker is running for the U.S. Senate in 2024.
Ficker distributed handouts at the Maryland Republican Party Convention today at The Hall at Maryland Live! with the phrase “Robin: Bye Ben Ben!” on them promoting his candidacy.
Ficker most recently ran for Governor earlier this year and received 2.8% of the vote in the Republican Primary.
Ficker, who served in the House of Delegates from 1979 to 1983, has also run and lost elections for:
Congress in the 8th District in 1972 (as a Democrat)
Re-election to the House of Delegates in 1982;
U.S. Senate in 2000;
Montgomery County Executive in 2006 (as an independent);
Montgomery County Council in the 4th District in 2010;
State Senate in the 15th District in 2014;
Congress in the 6th District in 2016;
Montgomery County Executive in 2018.
