No, Schifanelli is not the first. Or the second. Or the third.

Schifanelli Lies About Status as First Female GOP LG Nominee

theduckpin.substack.com

Maryland Republican Lt. Governor nominee Gordnaa Schifanelli lied about her own nomination as Lieutenant Governor.

In a tweet posted today, Schifanelli claims that “she is the first elected Republican female nominee for Lieutenant Governor in history of Maryland.”

Terrible grammar comes from the original.

Here’s the full graphic.

Schifanelli is, naturally, lying about all of this.

Gordana Schifanelli is actually the FOURTH woman nominated for Lieutenant Governor by Maryland Republicans.

  • 1990: Lois Shepherd

  • 2006: Kristen Cox

  • 2010: Mary Kane

I have no idea why Schifanelli would lie about such a thing when it is easily contradicted by reality, but nobody said that Schifanelli ever knew what she was talking about.

Of note, the other three women nominated for Lieutenant Governor by Maryland Republicans have all lost.

EDIT, 3:45 PM: Schifanelli deleted the post shortly after this story published

EDIT: 4:13 PM: Schifanelli tweeted a new version and took no responsibility for the first one. Naturally.

Thank you Good Samaritan for putting this together and correcting minor errors as indicated by the few. We will restore Freedom to the Free Old Line State. Yes the Republicans love immigrants, diversity of thought, courage and perseverance as this post reflects.

Still has major grammar/spelling problem. When an immigrant comes to the country, they "emigrate" not "immigrated". I am more troubled about her professional website that offers legal help to illegal aliens AFTER they have been ordered deported. By Cox picking her, and the legal case your site reported with the child predator, I would imagine Moore can sit back and float into the governor's mansion. This is not a law-and-order ticket in my opinion.
