The Evidence is Piling Up Against the Ex-President
Donald Trump is in deep shit and he knows it. I mean, this was part of the unsealed indictment released today:
TRUMP: By the way. Isn’t that incredible?
STAFFER: Yeah.
TRUMP: I was just thinking, because we were talking about it. And you know, he said, “he wanted to attack [Country A], and what…
STAFFER: You did.
TRUMP: This was done by the military and given to me. Uh, I think we can probably, right?
STAFFER: I don’t know, we’ll, we’ll have to see. Yeah, we’ll have to try to-
TRUMP: Declassify it.
STAFFER: -figure out a -yeah.
TRUMP: See as president I could have declassified it.
STAFFER: Yeah. [Laughter]
TRUMP: Now I can’t, you know, but this is still a secret.
STAFFER: Yeah. [Laughter] Now we have a problem.
TRUMP: Isn’t that interesting?
Based on his arrogance and stupidity, Trump now faces 31 counts of violating the Espionage Act, one count of Obstruction of Justice, one count of Withholding a Record, one count of Corruptly Concealing a Document, one count of Concealing a Document in a Federal Investigation, one count of Scheme to Conceal, and two counts of False Statements and Representation.
That brings the grand total of criminal charges Trump is facing to 71, and we haven’t even gotten to the point where he is indicted in Georgia.
Just based on the evidence brought forth in Indictment, it probably would have been prudent for Trump asskissers like Charlie Kirk, Vivek Ramaswamy, and even Ron DeSantis to hold their fire.
Of course, Trump world is doing what they do best; trying to ignore the problem and threaten violence and Civil War.
Trump’s supporters and his people around him may like to pretend otherwise, but the legal walls are starting to close in on Trump. His recent behavior indicates a caged animal ready to do next to anything to survive. But let us hope, as he picks yet another set of lawyers, that he does the right thing and pleads guilty for the good of the country and to try and save his own ass. Because, based on the evidence we have seen, Trump is completely fucked and there is no way out of this legal web he has tangled himself in….
