Whatever Happened to Intellectual Curiosity?
“Intellectual curiosity is a person's willingness and desire to learn new things and dig deeper than the surface. When you're intellectually curious, you're more willing and interested to acquire knowledge.”
I’m just stunned at the group, Republican Women of Baltimore County and its blatant disregard for medical science. RWBC posted this today on FB:
This is not the first time they have provided inappropriate, misleading and false information on pandemic medical issues.
NO political organization should be commenting on medical issues.
No political organization has the intelligence or experience to tell the FDA and the medical community what to do.
No political organization should get between a patient and the doctor.
No political organization has the level of education or clinical experience that our FDA and the contributing advisory boards possess.
I know quite a few doctors, and they are all waiting for their babies and toddlers to be immunized.
It is sad that RWBC has not had a qualified speaker to talk to the group at their monthly meetings. The speakers they have had speaking on pandemic related topics certainly do not have the expertise nor the training to provide accurate information on vaccines, virology, infectious disease, pandemics.
I volunteered to give RWBC some names of qualified physicians and public health experts to address their group. I volunteered myself to talk with the group on vaccines, mAB’s and therapeutics for Covid 19. But my comments did not fit their narrative.
I corrected them on their FB page when a speaker made remarkably ignorant comments around the pandemic. They banned me from commenting on their page. My comments did not fit their narrative.
I’m done with this extreme right side of the Republican Party with their faulty version of medical science. I’m done listening to them talk about tyranny, when they can’t look themselves in the mirror and see that what they are providing is tyranny at its worst.
