White Leftists Protest Black Speaker
A group of left-wing white suburbanites did not take kindly to an African-American Man disagreeing with them.
A minuscule group of white left-wing protestors protested an event in Anne Arundel County headlined by an African-American speaker.
A whopping five people stood on the property of the Anne Arundel County Police Headquarters in Millersville this evening protesting an event being held across the road by the Anne Arundel County Republican Central Committee.
Protests were being organized on social media about the event which was being headlined by Derryck Green, a senior research fellow at the Alliance Defending Freedom.
The event was touted as an opportunity to engage local schools and to teach parents about how to engage schools in the discussion of policy.
However, unidentified individuals on the left attempted to hijack the event and instead take issue with Green’s presence and his status with the Alliance Defending Freedom.
An “Action Document” was being circulated accusing the Anne Arundel Republican Party of “using this [school engagement] as an excuse to permit a hate group to advance an anti-lgbtq+ agenda.” The document was peddling information from the hate group the Southern Poverty Law Center about ADF being a “hate group” because ADF does not support the pseudoscientific idea of transgenderism. They encouraged people to write the Central Committee, write elected officials, and harass the meeting host into canceling the event.
It is unclear who organized the “Action Document” but their “action” resulted in a handful of comments on social media and a picture that will live in infamy of five lonely white leftists protesting a black speaker who dared disagree with them on issues of policy. A Central Committee member told The Duckpin that the Committee received “about three” emails.
UPDATE: Kristina Korona, Vice-Preisdent of the Teachers Association of Anne Arundel County, organized the protest.
Maybe these leftists will finally realize that their Hate Has No Home Here.
We will continue to look into who was behind this document, this protest, and which groups find it offensive that an African-American man be allowed to speak in public.
