There is no way to encapsulate why Trumpworld fears DeSantis better than this ad.

The best political ad of the entire 2022 election cycle was just released yesterday down by the Florida Republican Party in support of Governor Ron DeSantis.

This isn’t just one of the best ads of the election cycle. It’s one of the best political ads I’ve ever seen.

And it also shows why Ron DeSantis can beat Donald Trump in the Republican primary for President.

One of the biggest weaknesses that Donald Trump has is his disconnect from being a normal person. He may connect with voters in a certain way, but there is nothing about Trump that allows him to make an ad like this. Can you imagine Trump sitting in his car or at his desk reading letters? Of any sort? Of course not. Can you imagine Trump and his campaign team that didn’t actively show Trump being Trump? Of course not.

This ad displays DeSantis reading letters from ordinary Floridians and has them professionally voiced over. DeSantis doesn’t say a word in the entire spot.

It’s powerful. It’s meaningful. And it feels authentic.

Now, I know obviously that DeSantis is a politician and a political operator. But he has a track record now as Governor of Florida that makes him connect with Floridians. One that will play well with Republican primary voters in 2024. And of course, his experience and competence blows away anything Trump brought to the table in 2016 and, arguably brings to the table in 2024.
